History of
FayType
The idea of FayType started to develop in 2020 in an introductory course about typography as part of a graphic design apprenticeship and slowly formed into the fully realized concept of FayType, launched in 2024 with its first typeface FAY Basis.
FayType now enters the world as part of a new generation, into a world full of existing giants and legends, inspirations and idols. It is intimidating to launch into an already established world as a small fish in a big pond. Yet, we want to make an impact and study from the existing history while making our own mark and shape the world for the better.
